Sikhism in Class Five

Sikhism in Class Five

To start off our RE topic on Sikhism, Class Five re-enacted the story of the Khalsa to learn about why Sikhs carry the Five K's and how it all began.

Class Five at Whipsnade Zoo

Wild Times at Whipsnade Zoo

Class Five had a fantastic time and enjoyed the chance to see some of the planet's wildest animals up close at Whipsnade Zoo. After spending time visiting some of the inhabitants, enjoying the hippo talk and finishing with a workshop, we returned back to school having had a great day out.

Class Five Zoo Debate

The BIG Debate: Should animals be kept in zoos or live their lives in the wild?

Last week, Class Five participated in a highly entertaining debate based on whether animals should be kept in zoos or be set free to live in the wild. Opinions were certainly divided with the Animal Rights Group, local residents and the animals themselves urging for animal freedom, while the zoo keepers and children made excellent points as to why animals are better off in human hands.
